In the early 1900s, a young man traveled the world over. He carried the French-made Gaumont Stereoside camera that produced beautiful 3D black and white images on glass slides.
He was my grandfather, and since I am the photographer in the family, these slides have been stored in my closets, collecting dust for the last 30 years.
I felt it a shame to have this collection go to waste, and thought, why not create items that could be of use, such as pillows, notecards, and bags.
Old Images, New Forms was launched to share and celebrate a vanished era of travel and adventure in images. Thank you and I hope you enjoy!
